EVENTS

2015 Elite Eight Combine Contestants will be participate in the following speed, power and agility tests:

           TIMED 40 YD DASH

 

Contestants will run the marked 40yds, and are timed by combine coaches.
Each athlete is given 2 attempts. The best attempt is scored.

 

           TIMED 20 YD SHUTTLE

 

Contestants will straddle the starting point. On their movement the timer will begin. The contestant must sprint to the left 5 yds, touching the marked line, sprint 10 yds back across to the opposite side, touching the line and finish by sprinting 5 yds through the start/finish point. Each contestant is given 2 attempts. Right/Left Alternated. The best attempt is scored. 

           BENCH REPS

 

Contestants are given the choice of lifting 135lbs or 185lbs on the bench press.  When the contestant is ready to begin, the spotter and coach for the station will count full bench reps. **Lifting 185lbs once scores higher than any number of reps @ 135lbs. Contestants are given 1 opportunity to score on the bench.

           VERTICAL JUMP

 

Contestants will leap straight up from our mat, keeping legs straight to produce a digital score in the vertical jump. Contestants are given 2 attempts. The best is scored.
